Q: How is your TNA different from other assessment tools?

A: Our FREE TNA tool is structured, easy to use, and designed to provide actionable insights through user based input which is assessed and presented in a simple report format. It helps organisations make data-driven training decisions while aligning with their strategic objectives.

About the First-Line Manager Development Programme (FMDP)

Q: Who is the FMDP designed for?

A: The First-Line Manager Development Programme (FMDP) is designed specifically for newly promoted and existing first-line managers who play a pivotal role in leading teams, driving productivity, and delivering business results. It’s ideal for organisations committed to building strong leadership at the frontline.

Q: What makes this programme different from other leadership training options?

A: FMDP goes beyond traditional training by offering a personalised, blended learning journey that combines practical workplace application with tools, coaching, and ongoing support – enabling real behavioural change, not just knowledge transfer.

Q: Why is First-Line Management such a crucial focus area?

A: First-line managers directly influence 80% of the workforce. Yet many are promoted without leadership training, which risks productivity, employee engagement, and customer experience. Developing these managers is essential to building a resilient, high-performing organisation.

Q: What are the core modules included in the programme?

A: The programme covers critical topics including organisational understanding, leadership accountability, cross-team collaboration, results-driven management, productivity, personal effectiveness, communication and team resilience and motivation – all tailored for first-line leaders.

Q: Can we customise the content to reflect our organisation’s unique needs?

A: Absolutely. The FMDP is fully customisable to reflect your company’s vision, values, leadership behaviours, tools and specific operational challenges – ensuring relevance and impact for your managers.

Q: How long does the programme run, and how is it scheduled?

A: The programme is modular and flexible, typically delivered over 3 to 6 months to allow time for real-time application and growth. Scheduling can be tailored to your organisational needs and work rhythms.

Q:  What delivery formats are available (virtual, in-person, hybrid)?

A: The programme is available in three delivery formats to suit your operational needs: fully virtual (VILT), in-person sessions, or a hybrid approach that blends both. Each format is supported by our myQuest LMS, which reinforces learning through digital engagement, ongoing nudges, and practical reflection – ensuring continuity beyond the training room.

Q: What practical application or real-world tasks are built into the programme?

A: Each module includes workplace-based learning that encourages managers to immediately apply learning, solve real challenges, and build leadership habits that stick.

Q: What is the Personal Elevation Plan, and how does it support long-term growth?

A: The Personal Elevation Plan is a customised post-training action plan that helps managers take ownership of their ongoing development, ensuring learning translates into sustained behaviour change and growth.

Q: What are the benefits of summative presentations at the end of the programme?

A: Summative presentations provide managers an opportunity to showcase their learning and impact, boost confidence, and demonstrate readiness for career progression and succession planning.

Q: How do you measure the impact of the programme?

A: We measure impact through a combination of practical assignments, behavioural observations, learner feedback and summative presentations to track real changes in performance.

Q: Is there a final assessment or certification?

A: Yes, the programme concludes with a final assessment presentation. Participants receive certification recognising their achievement and readiness to lead with confidence.

Q:  How does FMDP go beyond traditional training courses?

A: FMDP is a human-first, experiential journey that integrates coaching, tools, real-world practice, and digital engagement – designed to transform managers into effective leaders, not just course completers.

Q:  What does “real behavioural change” look like in this programme?

A: It means managers consistently apply new leadership skills in daily work, show increased accountability, drive team performance, communicate effectively, and lead with confidence and authenticity.

Q:  What kind of coaching or support is provided to participants?

A: Participants receive ongoing coaching from facilitators, access to peer learning through community forums, and digital nudges via myQuest LMS – all designed to support growth beyond the classroom.

Q:  Is this programme relevant for newly promoted managers or experienced ones as well?

A: Yes, it caters to both. The modular, customised format allows content to be tailored to different experience levels, ensuring relevance for any first-line manager’s growth journey.

FMDP Tools and Features

Q: What tools and templates are included in the programme?

A: Managers receive a toolkit of practical templates, guides, and checklists that support applying learning immediately.

Q:  How does the Training Needs Analysis App work?

A: The TNA App identifies skills gaps by assessing the modular operational management capabilities – providing data-driven insights to focus development efforts where they matter most.

Q:  What kind of report do we receive from the TNA App?

A: You receive a comprehensive, customised report highlighting strengths, skills gaps, and priority focus areas for individual managers and teams, enabling targeted learning interventions.

Q:  What is the GC Index®, and why is it used in this programme?

A: The GC Index® is a revolutionary tool that transforms how we understand and harness individual and team potential. By measuring energy for impact rather than personality, it provides actionable insights into how individuals and teams can align their strengths to drive meaningful outcomes. With its focus on unique proclivities, or energy for impact, the GC Index empowers organisations to increase individual contribution, optimise collaboration, enhance leadership development, and create lasting business impact, making it an indispensable resource for transformative training programmes.

Q: Can you give an example of how the GC Index has impacted a team or organisation?

A: For example, The GC Index® was integrated into an Operations Managers’ Development Programme, allowing 150 Operations Managers to gain insights into their individual energy for impact. This facilitated self-awareness and a common language for understanding how they contribute to their teams. The programme focused on practical challenges, enabling managers to apply their insights to improve team dynamics and leadership approaches. As a result, they committed to bringing focus and clear direction to their teams.

Another team used The GC Index® in their leadership team and gained insights into their collective energy for impact, which helped them understand their strengths and challenges. This understanding allowed them to adapt their working styles and improve collaboration. The impact was significant, leading to a doubling of turnover and a fourfold improvement in margins. The team developed a unified ethos and successfully recruited new members to support future growth.

Q:  What is the Personal Elevation Plan, and how does it support long-term growth?

A: The plan encourages accountability and self-leadership by guiding managers to set personal goals and reflect regularly on their leadership journey.

Q: How does myQuest LMS support the learning journey after training days?

A: myQuest LMS provides anytime, anywhere access to learning content, personalised nudges, reflection prompts, community and coaching support – reinforcing habits and continuous growth.

Q:  How do toolkits and templates support workplace application?

A: They translate theory into practice by giving managers ready-to-use resources that simplify complex tasks and standardise best practices across teams.

Q:  How does MyQuest enhance blended learning and habit-building?

A: MyQuest’s digital nudges and community features encourage reflection and peer support, making learning an ongoing, embedded part of managers’ work life.
